Houston Food Bank

  • The Houston Food Bank is providing food to populations at risk of food insecurity and needs volunteers to help.

Target Hunger Houston

  • Target Hunger is working to double their food distribution to their neighbors in need, but more food means more volunteer help is needed.

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Bank

  • The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Bank has seen a decrease in blood donations due to social distancing policies, so schedule an appointment with your local blood center to help patients in need.

The Beacon Homeless Shelter

  • The Beacon is working to continue to serve Houston's homeless during this difficult time by providing to-go meals, increased access to laundry facilities, and legal support.

Kids Meals

  • Kids Meals is working to make sure that preschool children who rely on school meals do not go hungry.

GiveInKind – Meals for Houston Healthcare Workers

  • GiveInKind is hosting a platform to allow communities to donate restaurant meals to healthcare workers and first responders.

PPE Donations

There is a national shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used by medical staff while caring for patients on the front lines. Help keep our healthcare heroes safe by donating through the following:

Plasma Transfusions

Baylor College of Medicine and the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center have partnered to provide COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma from eligible donors to current COVID-19 patients, as part of a transfusion study. This process specifically provides plasma transfusion from recovered patients to those still critically ill.

Eligibility requirements and more information, as well as the study questionnaire for potential donors, can be found here.
